Gendai Reiki Ho

Hiroshi Doi Sensei is a founder of Gendai Reiki Ho, born in Okayama, Japan in 1935. Gendai Ho “can be referred to as “original Japanese Usui Reiki Ryoho in the Gendai Reiki style.” Gendai Reiki focuses on improving health of our life-force (body) and our mind/spirit (kokoro).  This system is designed to honour and respect the original teachings and techniques of Usui Sensei, offered in a modern and accessible way for humanity here and now.   Doi Sensei (you can find his lineage to Usui Sensei on GRN) established four basic rules for Gendai Reiki Ho:

~Resonance with Reiki and aspire to a healthy and happy life.

~Transparency:  practice the techniques and meditations as described.  Teach the story of Reiki Ho in an honest and respectful way.

~Practicality:  to share and teach the techniques and characteristics of Reiki Ho according to the manuals, clearly and straightforwardly

~Simplicity: follow the instructions in the manual as outlined.  Keep the practices from becoming complicated.

Key Factors of Gendai Reiki Practice

Daily Self-Treatment

Gokai

Gokai is simple five principles in life that Mikau Usui Sensei taught his students. It is the essence of Reiki.  These core principles invite us into receiving Reiki, to practicing Reiki, to becoming Reiki.

Exercises/techniques

Practice exercises and techniques from your Gendai Reiki manuals every day. They will tone and nourish your Reiki pathway.

Koryukai/Community Reiki practice
